LOGGING ON

User Name: Your DRE Number

When logging on to the MLS system, you will use your unique California Department of Real Estate (DRE) license number as your MLS user identification. You must enter the full eight digits, including any zeros before the number.

PASSWORD

When your membership has been processed, you will be assigned a temporary password for logging on to the MLS (the first five letters of your last name). You will need to log on to the MLS and change your password right away. Because it is important to protect the listing data that you provide, REIL takes security very seriously. Our password requirements reflect that:


Authentication Parameter REIL Requirement
Frequency with which passwords must be changed Every 180 days; no reuse in 2 years
Minimum/Maximum Password Length 7 characters minimum; 8 characters maximum
Use of common words in passwords Cannot use very common words like "real estate", "REALTOR", first or last name(1)
Inclusion of numbers and symbols Minimum 1 number and 1 other character (letter or symbol)
Sequence length and number of distinct characters Maximum sequence length of 4 (e.g. 1234ZEB or 1111ZEB) and a minimum of 4 distinct characters, e.g. 1111ZEB is acceptable vs 1111ZEE is not)
Number of failed attempts before user is locked out 20-minute lockout after 6 failed attempts. After 18 failed attempts, user must call for assistance.

CHANGING YOUR PASSWORD


  1. Open your browser and enter www.reil.com in the address field. The RE InfoLink log on page will display. (Have your DRE number and current password handy.)
  2. Next to the password box, click the link labeled "Change Password."
  3. Follow the directions for changing your password, then click "Submit" to finish.

ADD YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS

The first time you log on to REIL.COM, you will be prompted to provide your personal email address. Email is InfoLink's primary means of communication with you. Regular updates keep you current on MLS issues such as new services or features, system changes, and product updates. (Your personal email address is secure.

InfoLink does not sell or distribute email lists. If you add a "public" email address in Agent Profile, only that address will be displayed on the Internet and in reports with your listings.)
